Wichita is home to two large shopping centers, Towne East Square and Towne West Square. They are respectively located at either end of the city. The city's oldest mall, Wichita Mall, is now considered by most to be at the end of it's life cycle.
Towne East Square is a popular spot for shoppers. It is an enclosed, two-story space that, among it's more than 100 stores, has numerous dining and entertainment venues. One of the city's best shopping districts is Old Town. Found in the heart of Wichita, Old Town is famous for its historic buildings and homes throughout the East Douglas area downtown.
